At Albertsons Companies, our associates can support each other by donating to our We Care Fund, a program of Albertsons Companies Foundation, a public 501c3 designated charity designed to support our community and help our associates during unanticipated and unavoidable financial hardships and emergencies. We Care is seeded by the Company and funded by our associates.

How it works

A designated committee of Albertsons Companies associates will evaluate associate applications for assistance for Qualified Relief (including presidentially declared disasters and catastrophic events) as well as Emergency Personal Hardship Assistance (including personal loss and health care expenses). Some examples include:

  • Home catastrophe/natural disaster
  • Funeral/emergency travel expense
  • Personal or medical emergency
  • Military deployment

Types of support

Assistance may be provided to meet the following expenses:

  • Rent/mortgage payment
  • Clothing
  • Food (excluding tobacco and alcohol)
  • Utilities
  • Other needs as approved by the Committee
