Preventive Care Services

Enrollment in a Company medical plan is required.

If you are enrolled in a Company medical plan, you have access to a variety of preventive services covered at 100% including regular checkups; standard immunizations; age/gender-appropriate screenings for blood pressure, cancer, cholesterol, depression, obesity, and type 2 diabetes; and pediatric screening for hearing, vision, autism and developmental disorders, depression, and obesity. Some services are subject to certain limitations depending on medical necessity and other reasonable medical management techniques. You won’t be charged a fee for the visit as long as your doctor is an in-network provider and the service is coded as preventive care.

Dental Preventive & Diagnostic Services

If you are enrolled in a Company-sponsored dental plan through Delta Dental, you have access to no cost preventive and diagnostic services when you visit a Delta Dental PPO dentist.

Preventive dental care includes routine oral exams, X-rays, cleanings, sealants and fluoride treatments. These services are considered preventive because they’re aimed at identifying and stopping early dental issues before they arise. A diagnostic dental appointment is a visit in which only procedures needed to provide you with a comprehensive diagnosis are completed. It does not include a cleaning or any work necessary to restore your teeth. Oftentimes your first visit to a new dental office is considered a diagnostic visit.

Short-term Disability (STD)

Benefits-eligible non-union associates are automatically enrolled in this Company-paid benefit.

Company-paid short-term disability (STD) replaces a portion of your regular pay when you must miss work for more than a week because you’re recovering from a non-work-related illness or injury (including pregnancy and recovering from childbirth). Generally, there is a seven calendar-day elimination period before STD benefits begin. After the elimination period, the Plan pays 100% of your pay for six weeks and 60% of your pay for up to 19 more weeks with no maximum.

If you work in certain states (including California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or the District of Columbia) any benefits for which you are eligible under the Company-paid STD Plan are offset by any amounts you receive from your state or District of Columbia plan.
