Confirmation statements mailed to homes

2022 Benefits Confirmation Statements were mailed on Nov. 26, 2021. Your confirmation statement shows your 2022 benefits and new payroll deductions starting Jan. 1, 2022. Your statement also includes instructions in case you need to make any updates to your 2022 benefit elections. The deadline to make any changes to your 2022 benefits is Dec. 31, 2022.

Highlights for 2022?

  • Medical: Associates in most locations will have a choice of three medical plans administered by Blue Cross of Idaho along with regional medical plans in some locations. Learn more.
  • Medical contributions: Albertsons continues to pay the majority of the cost of medical coverage. The amount you pay depends on the medical plan and coverage level you choose. You can see the plans available and the weekly payroll deductions at www.direct2HRhealth.com.
  • Spousal surcharge: New for some associates, if you choose to cover your spouse or domestic partner on your medical coverage, and your spouse or domestic partner has access to medical coverage through his or her employer, you will be charged an additional $85 per week as a spousal surcharge.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA): NEW FOR 2O22! If you enroll in the HSA Plan for medical, you may be eligible to open an HSA through Fidelity and make pre-tax contributions automatically through your paycheck. You can use your HSA to pay for eligible healthcare expenses tax-free (state income tax may apply in some states) now or in the future – including in retirement. Learn about HSAs.
  • Dental: Option to choose between a Basic Plan and Enhanced Plan with a higher annual maximum benefit and orthodontia. Learn about dental.
  • Vision: Option to choose between a Standard Plan and a Premier Plan. Learn about vision.
  • Short-term Disability: NEW FOR 2022! Albertsons will provide a Company-paid benefit for non-union hourly and salaried associates. After a 7-day elimination period, the plan pays 100% of your weekly earnings for 6 weeks and 60% of your weekly earnings up to an additional 19 weeks. More about STD.
  • Long-term Disability: Harmonized LTD benefit equal to 60% of pay (base salary + bonus) up to $25,000 per month, after 180-day elimination period. New associate premium rates effective January 1, 2022 for LTD may apply. If you are currently enrolled in LTD coverage, you can continue coverage in 2022 or decline coverage during Open Enrollment.   • Eligibility: Starting January 1, 2022, most non-union associates are eligible for benefits if they work 30 or more hours per week (20 or more hours per week in Hawaii). Benefits are effective the first day of the month following 30 days from your hire date or the date you transfer into an eligible position. Eligibility for most associates covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is defined by the CBA. Learn about eligibility.
  • Coverage for domestic partners: NEW FOR 2022! Starting January 1, 2022, same-sex and opposite sex domestic partners may be covered as a dependent for health and insurance benefits.
