2025 Open Enrollment for your Albertsons Companies, Inc. benefits ended on November 15, 2024. Watch for your 2025 Open Enrollment Confirmation Statement mailed to your home in December. Your Confirmation Statement will show your benefits and paycheck deductions along with covered dependents  starting January 1, 2025. Your Confirmation Statement will also show any beneficiary designations on file in myACI Benefits for Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.


Open Enrollment Aftercare

Now that 2025 Open Enrollment is closed, there are several important things that will be happening that you should know about.

Watch for your 2025 Open Enrollment Confirmation Statement mailed to your home the first week in December. Your Confirmation Statement will include your 2025 benefits enrollment and paycheck deductions, information on your covered dependents and your beneficiary designations.

If any information on your Confirmation Statement is incorrect, you will have until December 20, 2024 to report it to the Benefits Service Center. You can speak to a Benefits Service Center Agent Monday-Friday, 6 a.m to 6 p.m. Arizona time by calling 888-255-2269 option 2, then option 2 again.

To see if you have any Pending Actions, sign in to your account at myACI-albertsons.com. Choose the Benefits tile then click on the Pending Actions tile.

  • Pending Action for Newly Enrolled Dependents: If you enrolled any dependents for the first time during Open Enrollment, you must provide documentation verifying their eligibility. You can download a Dependent Verification Requirements Flyer which lists the allowable documents you can submit to verify your dependent’s eligibility to be covered under Albertsons healthcare plans. Dependent verification must be completed by January 31, 2025. If you miss the deadline, your unverified dependents will not be covered in 2025.
  • Pending Action for Optional Life Insurance or Long-term Disability Coverage: If you have enrolled in optional life insurance for yourself or your spouse or domestic partner or long-term disability for yourself that requires evidence of insurability (EOI), please note the following:
    1. Watch for an email communication from The Hartford on December 9 (or printed communication mailed to your home if no email address is on file). The communication will provide instructions on what you need to do provide evidence of insurability (EOI).
    2. Complete an online Personal Health Application (PHA) between December 9 and December 20 on The Hartford website. The Hartford uses the information from the PHA to determine if you satisfy the evidence of insurability requirements. If The Hartford approves your coverage request, your coverage and paycheck deductions will start on the first paycheck in January 2025.You will have 60 days from the date you are notified by The Hartford via email or printed communication mailed to your home to complete an online PHA. If you complete the PHA after December 20 and The Hartford approves your coverage request, coverage and paycheck deductions will start as soon as administratively possible within 1 or 2 pay periods following the approval date.If your coverage request is not approved by The Hartford or you fail to complete an online PHA within the 60-day window, you will be notified by The Hartford and your request for coverage (or increase in coverage) will be canceled.

If you enrolled in the HSA or Kaiser CA HDHP Plan for the first time during Open Enrollment, you must open a health savings account (HSA) with Fidelity to make pre-tax contributions via paycheck deduction that you can use to pay for eligible health care expenses.

Action Steps

  1. Watch for an email communication (or a postcard mailed to your home if no email address is on file) from Fidelity.
  2. Open your Fidelity HSA between December 3 and December 20 by logging in to netbenefits.com or following the instructions to register as a new user on the Fidelity website. Click the Open tile. Payroll deductions will begin on the first paycheck in January 2025 if you open your HSA by December 20.
  3. Verify the HSA deduction amount is correct on your paycheck and is available in your Fidelity HSA.

If you open your HSA after December 20, paycheck deductions will start as soon as administratively possible (usually 1 or 2 pay periods after your HSA is opened).

You an start, stop or change your HSA contributions at anytime by signing in to myACI.albertsons.com. Choose the Benefits tile, then click on Report a Life Event or Change HSA Contribution tile.

  • If you newly enrolled in an Albertsons Companies medical plan or you changed medical plans during Open Enrollment, you will receive new ID cards from your medical plan provider in late December 2024 or early January 2025.
  • If you enrolled in a Blue Cross of Idaho (BCI) medical plan for the first time during Open Enrollment or you changed your BCI medical plan, you will receive a separate pharmacy ID card in late December 2024 or early January 2025 from MedImpact, our pharmacy benefits manager.
  • If you did not change medical plans during Open Enrollment, you can continue using your current medical and pharmacy ID cards.

What’s New in 2025?

  • The annual deductible is increasing from $900 to $1,000 for associate-only coverage and from $1,800 to $2,000 for family coverage.
  • The annual out-of-pocket maximum is increasing from $3,750 to $4,000 for associate-only coverage and from $7,500 to $8,000 for family coverage.
  • In 2025, the Kaiser WA, PNW/OR, and CO HMO plans will have the same plan design as the current Kaiser CA HMO plan. High level plan details are below; review your benefits guide at myACI > Benefit Resources for full plan details.

  • Kaiser Permanente medical plans are transitioning to in-house pharmacy benefits through Kaiser. Members will no longer be able to fill prescriptions at Albertsons Companies pharmacies. Prescriptions must be filled at Kaiser pharmacies
  • The annual deductible is increasing from $1,600 to $1,650 for associate-only coverage and from $3,200 to $3,300 for family coverage.
  • The annual out-of-pocket maximum is increasing from $3,200 to $3,300 for associate-only coverage and from $6,400 to $6,600 for family coverage.
  • The Arizona EPO and Shaw’s EPO plans will be discontinued in 2025. If you are currently enrolled in one of these plans, you will need to choose a new medical plan during Open Enrollment. If you don’t choose a new plan, you will automatically be enrolled at your current coverage level in the EPO Plan or the EPO-HP Plan depending on your ZIP code.
  • The Taft-Hartley Bronze Plan will be discontinued effective January 1, 2025.
  • Associates enrolled in this plan can enroll in the ACI Bronze Plan during Open Enrollment.
  • If no action is taken during Open Enrollment, associates currently enrolled in the Taft-Hartley Bronze Plan will be automatically enrolled in the ACI Bronze Plan for 2025.
  • Starting January 1, 2025, GLP-1 medications will no longer be covered when prescribed for weight loss or weight management.*
  • Coverage is still available for GLP-1 medications when prescribed for diabetes treatment or cardiovascular risk reduction. Under the HSA Plan, you will now pay 20% with no deductible with a $90 maximum copay, the same as the EPO and PPO plans.

* Jewel Union 881 – If you have a current prescription for a GLP-1 medication for weight loss or weight management prior to January 1, 2025, your prescription will continue to be covered. New prescriptions issued on or after January 1, 2025 will not be covered.

  • UV protection lenses and scratch-resistant lens coatings will be available at no cost to you for both the standard and premier vision plans.*

  • The monthly transit maximum contribution you can make is increasing from $300 per month in 2024 to $315 per month in 2025.

How to Enroll During Open Enrollment

During the 2025 Open Enrollment period (Nov. 4-15), you will use myACI to enroll or make changes to your benefits, update dependent information and verify or update your beneficiary designations for life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.

When you’re ready to enroll, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in at myACI.albertsons.com.
  2. From the Me page, click on the Benefits tile.
  3. Click on Review Your Covered Dependents and Beneficiaries tile to view the family members that can be covered under your benefits or designated as beneficiaries for life insurance.
  4. Click on the blue button that says Click here to continue your enrollment changes.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to enroll or update your coverage elections.
